High School Placement

Preparing for their next steps

An important benefit of the PreK – 8th Grade model is the built-in opportunity for adolescents and their families to evaluate different high school options in a thoughtful manner. While the Comprehensive Student Roadmap for Growth serves as an important preparation, the high school placement process begins in earnest in the spring of seventh grade. Through an on-campus high school fair, individual meetings with placement advisors, and meetings with Admission Officers from local and boarding schools, our students are exposed to a variety of educational options.

Through the process, students reflect on their goals and plans for high school and are given the time to think about the aspects of school most important to them. Regardless of where they ultimately enroll, our students are prepared to make the most of their next step.

The diversity of our student body is reflected in the diversity of high school choices. Our graduates matriculate at public and charter schools as well as independent day and boarding schools. Our goal is to help students find the right place for them.
