Grades 1-8 Multiple Student Discount

Families receive a 5% tuition discount for a second – and any subsequent – child enrolled after their first child is enrolled at full tuition. Students in the Early School are not eligible for the multiple student discount. Payment for the first child does include any scholarship or need-based tuition assistance provided.

Grades 1-8 Need-Based Tuition Assistance

The Grosse Pointe Academy values both socioeconomic and cultural diversity. our need-based tuition assistance program continues the Academy’s mission to increase both accessibility and affordability.

Families with students in Grades 1-8 who are interested in need-based financial aid must submit a secure, online application, including tax returns, through the FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. Our Financial Aid Committee will review the family’s application to determine whether or not a family qualifies for tuition assistance. Tuition assistance is given first to currently enrolled tuition-assisted students, then to currently enrolled students demonstrating financial need for the first time, and finally, to newly accepted applicants applying for tuition assistance.

Families must reapply for tuition assistance each year. All awards are reviewed annually and will reflect changes in the financial needs of the individual family and the relative need of all families requesting aid.

Please contact the Admissions Office at with questions regarding tuition assistance.

Early School Tuition Tax Advantages

The Early School is licensed as a day care facility. The cost of tuition and After Care expenses (excluding Kindergarten) should be included in the calculation of the Child and Dependent Care tax credit. Families with children in this age group are advised to consult a tax preparer for more information.

Families who have Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) through their employer may be able to use pre-tax dollars to pay tuition and after-school care expenses; parents should consult their benefits administrator for specific advice.
